Children vs. Phones

You’re sitting at the kitchen table having dinner with your family.  Your whole family.  Your phone rings.  Do you answer it?  Are you a slave to your phone?

Or, do you ignore the phone and continue enjoying this rare moment of family togetherness and laughter?

Romans 6:16 Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey?…

As my children are getting older and having their own after school activities, during the week we have dinner together a lot less often than when they were little.  But they are still learning from everything they see in us.  I certainly hope that my children learn that even though my phone rings, they are more important.

  1. Hello, my name is Evie, and I used to be a phone slave! Now that that is out of the way, I am proud to say that as an adult, I’ve really let this HORRID habit rest in its grave! I absolutely HATE it when people interrupt me or ask me to hold on (or even repeat) things I/I’ve said. Ooohh! Grinds my gears so badly! Great post!
